Introduction about NCC

The NCC in India was formed with the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948. It was raised on 15 July 1948. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation building. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities., with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training. The NCC is open to all regular students of schools and colleges on a voluntary basis. The students have no liability for active military service. In our Institution we have NCC Army wing 4/37 “B”Coy NCC established in the year 1964.

Objectives

  • Our NCC unit Secure 3rd best Institution Award in the year 2016. And in the year 2022 received 1st best Institution Award. Many of our cadetshave made achievement in the NCC activity conducted by Directorate, Group, and battalion level. Cadet CSUO Vaishali Nagalikar received Chief Minister Commendation awardand District level Republic Day Appriciation award, SUO Saifalikhan and Sneha JUO Medikeri Fit India competition Awards in the year 2021-22. Two NCC cadets of our Institution Selected and actively Participated in the Special NIC camp held at Leh-Ladakh of Jammu -Kashmir in the year 2021. Many of cadets participated in the All India Thal Sainik Camp and secured medals.
